Ayaka Nishi Solo Exhibition at White Gallery in Japan

I've been doing solo exhibition at White Gallery in Kagoshima, Japan during 4/28~5/10.
Kagoshima is my home town and it is south part of Japan.

The gallery owner, Mr. Misaka is a glass artist and he prepared beautiful display for my jewelry.

We hang jewelries from ceiling.

Ayaka Nishi Jewelry Solo Exhibition in Japan

I'll have an exhibition in my home town, Kagoshima, Japan.
At the show, I'll play fashion show movie from this February.
I'll be at there during exhibition.
I'm going to show my new cell cuff and some fine jewelry line with 18K gold and 14K gold with diamond and unique stone.
After this exhibition, I'll trip to Shanghai and Seoul.
This is like Asian tour.

Jewelry Fashion Show at Empire Hotel

As I announce in last post, we had a Jewelry Fashion Show at Hotel Empire on 17 Feb.
A VERY warm thank you to everyone who came to the show! 
I feel grateful to have so many friends and supporters. 
More showed up than anticipated, so I know not everyone was able to clearly see the runway. 
We shoot some movies at the show.

The Artist

I saw a movie, "The Artist" today.
This movie got 3 Golden Globe awards and nominated  Academy Award.
Since this is silent movie, I wonder why it can be so popular but after seeing the movie, I understand because this is  silent movie, this is amazing.

It was simple yet beautiful black and white movie.
I had smiler feeling when I saw the movie" Break fast at Tiffany".



The  rise and fall of a dynasty and  a change of generation are reminded  this fashion industry and  economy depression.
It is bitter theme but every bod face this theme in their life.





I also want to make  a Jewelry which can find beauty in simplicity.

A day at Ayaka Nishi New York Studio

Every Jewelry is hand crafted at Ayaka Nishi Studio in East Village, New York.
I'm making cell mask at that day.

Shipping to Saudi Arabia

It is getting really cold in New York.
Today was the first working day of our studio.

We just  shipped a Coral Necklace to Saudi Arabia.
I have no idea about Saudi Arabia.
Their speaking language and living style must be totally different... It is mysterious place to me.
Although I don't have a chance to go to the country, I'm really glad that my jewelries travel to many countries.

As our new tradition in New York, we across  Brooklyn Bridge on 1 January.
It was perfect sunny day for across a bridge.

I'm appreciate many people's contributions and helps in last year.

Formento & Formento is a Photographer unit which consisted by a Photographer  husband, B.J Formento 
and Art Director wife, Richelle Formento.
They shoot  really cool photo for some famous magazines and companies such as GQ, Vogue, SONY.

They used to based in UK and they are currently based in New York.
Since their stylist, Philip  found me and requested my jewelry collection for their photo shoot in this fall, 
I had a chance to know them.
I really like their dark and noir taste visual taste.

Finally they released this photo series so I also want to introduce some of them.
This series theme was "Fetish".
It is mysterious, dark, spooky world!!

PHC Family Party!

I went to holiday party of Philip Crangi staff.
After graduating F.I.T, I used to work as a intern for Philip Crangi and I still keep in touch with them.
I love them. Even I was a just intern, I'm really glad to be invited their party as a member of PHC family.
Beer Bongs, Ciger, Gossip, Happy music....It was great night!!  Happy Holiday!

The reason why we need to go to trip.

The reason why we need to go to trip is to re-find our place.
I was staying in New York for too long time so I need to escape to re-find my place.

Since many friends told me that Arizona is one of best place in U.S, I dreamed to go to Arizona and  finally I had a chance to go to Arizona for Thanks Giving holiday for a week.

Many cactus, desert, huge house, Mexican restaurant, shopping moll, driving car, howling of a coyote at night....It was totally different environment compare in New York.

      

We went to Sedona and did trecking to Devil Bridge.
The Sunset was really amazing.

     



I saw many interesting shape cactus.They are great inspiration to me.

It was beautiful trip.
I want to go back to Arizona again but also I feel that I really love living in East Village, New York.
